2020 Results

The 2020 race faced additional challenges as COVID-19 reeked havoc on the United States cancelling the majority of races around the country. The 100 mile distance and 35Km were both cancelled for 2020. However, we were able to hold the 105Km race, albeit in a very restricted capacity. The course remained the same as the 2019 alternate with a complete closure on the Fred Haught Trail where Bear Canyon is. A short section where the single track hits FS-95 had a bridge completely wash out with no plans of it being fixed before 2021. This closure brought along changes to more than 20 miles of the course. The 2019 course brought back the orginal start to The Monster as runners returned to the Pine Canyon Trail #26. Once at Washington Park I, runners climbed the Rim via the Powerline and continued on the Fred Haught Trail to FS 719 where they turned around at a new aid station, Bear Canyon. Runners saw about normal temperatures of up to 85 degrees on the lower parts of the course and 65 above the rim. There was a slight cloud cover/smoke cover with hundreds of wildfires affecting the area.

The 105 Km race included 23 finishers out of 33 starters.
