Pacing

Runners are allowed to have one pacer at a time starting at Washington Park Aid Station (Mile 56).  You can change out pacers at any crew accessible aid station from that point on.  As mentioned below with access to your drop bags you don't necessarily need a pacer for this race.  Many runners are forgoing the additional support and running solo and with this race that is as much an option as any other race.  The course is very challenging, remote and very, very dark in the forest at night.  Very dark.  Just throwing that out there...maybe a pacer isn't a bad idea.

Crewing

Crew Driving Instructions can be found here.

Crews can be an integral part of your race with the joy that comes from seeing friends and family at aid stations as well as the logistical ease they can provide along the way.  Having said that crews are not entirely necessary to complete this race as the course is laid out that you have access to the same drop bag several times and with that comes a slightly easier race plan.

Should you use a crew please help us keep the traffic from the crew vehicles to a minimum and respect the Aid Station Captains directions at the Aid Stations.  If you'd like to help out while you wait for your runner please ask what can be done before jumping in.  You can pull your runners drop bag and set up an area away from the other runners if you'd like.  Most of the aid stations are open enough to provide plenty of space for everyone.
