"When I finally got to the top I expected a marching band or something excessive to celebrate; I got nothing. The 100mile AS was another HAM radio dude in his truck another .5 miles down the road."
- "Some folks talk about graduate-level trail races. These trails, combined with the distance and climbing, requires a Ph.D. It is nothing short of hard. Expect to find out what you're really made of."

"How hard is Mogollon Monster 100? For me, it was the toughest 100 I had ever run, not because of the 18,000 feet of climbs, but because of the terrible rugged nature of the trails. I believe in ranking 100s, it is tougher than both Plain 100 and H.U.R.T 100."
"This was by far the most technical race I’ve ever done with terrible footing, huge climbs, and very cold temperatures. 44 runners started this race, only 23 finished."
"I would bet it is in the top 3 of the most difficult hundreds around and it is very well organized."
